HABITAT FURNITURE
Here are pictures
of furniture specially designed for Habitat 67. It's called the
Habitat Chair(how appropriate!). There is also a matching
ottoman/table. I acquired these in 1996 directly from a resident
of Habitat 67 who was ....."updating" the look of his terrasse. A
pity really. I'm sad to see that many residents want to update
Habitat 67. You simply DON'T update design icons. Not by my
standards anyway. They put all kind of miss matched furniture like
those horrible generic plastic chairs you find at home hardware stores
that have absolutely no style or those even more horrible plastic chairs
that immitate victorian garden furniture. People shouldn't be
allowed to put anything else than modern furniture of the 60s and the
70s in this masterpiece of design that is HABITAT 67. Especially
outside. In their appartment.... well that's another story but
please, keep Habitat 67 its uniformity on the outside for everyone to
see !
