Eagle Passenger Module
The passenger module had several configurations. In
Breakaway,
Matter Of Life And Death,
Ring Around The Moon,
Earthbound &
Another Time, Another Place the module had eight seats in two rows. In
Black Sun, the rear rows were removed to make storage space. This passenger configuration reappeared in
Guardian Of Piri,
The Exiles &
New Adam, New Eve (with the seats facing backwards).
Guardian Of Piri also featured a module with a medical chair and monitors rather than seats;
Mission Of The Darians featured boxes on one side.
Dragon's Domain featured desks where the seats should be.
| Monitor screens are fitted in front of the seats, but these are very rarely used (one example is in Missing Link). |
 |
The computer configuration first appeared in Missing Link and was the standard arrangement from then on. This featured a computer bank on the starboard side, with console and screens, while four seats remained on the port side. Sometimes boxes were placed in front of the computer (The Infernal Machine, The Immunity Syndrome & in Space Brain nuclear charges). The booster module was identical to the standard module on the inside, but in All That Glisters it mysteriously gained twice the length.

An unusual view of the ceiling of the passenger module. |
The front bulkheads of the passenger module originally featured large colour view screens (
Breakaway,
Matter Of Life And Death,
Black Sun,
Ring Around The Moon,
Earthbound,
Another Time, Another Place); again, in
Missing Link this changed to small computer screens, two on each side. The view screen reappeared briefly in
Dragon's Domain. Beneath these were shelves, containing either boxes or spacesuit packs. Later this became a weapons rack, with stun guns and either a large blaster (
The Last Sunset,
The Full Circle,
Death's Other Dominion,
The Infernal Machine,
End Of Eternity) or a laser rifle
(
War Games,
Space Brain,
Mission Of The Darians,
Dragon's Domain,
The Testament Of Arkadia, all Year 2).
The forward portion of the passenger module contains cupboards and shelves, used for hanging spacesuits. The rear door in the passenger module is only ever seen open in The Testament Of Arkadia (showing the moonbuggy and a section of wall) and in The Last Sunset during the crash (only boxes can be seen). Theoretically the passenger module could be mounted facing in either direction.
