A few years before the series, Martin Bower had built a lunar station using two plastic neon strip light covers, detailed with the runners from the Airfix "travelling crane" kit. Bower broke up the model and stuck the two "arms" together to form a command module for the Deltan ship in The Last Enemy. The rest of the ship was repainted from the Alpha Child/War Games doomsday ship.
This command module also appeared as a separate craft in the spaceship graveyards of Dragon's Domain and The Metamorph (note the doomsday ship bell, Dione's lifeboat, a Collision Course mine and an Altares satellite). |

The ship was redressed after the series with a grey paint job replacing the yellow. The framework and ring of spheres at the front have been lost.
