Hi all I start this with the blank but necessary flat : I'm not gay, but. This done : lets go the point : MUsic !!!! At the age of seeing space on air, I was fan of Bowie-Stardust, Roxy and glamrock. Iggy Pop was my ultimate idol. I still enjoy going at his concert. Later on I became fan of Joy Division and Bauhaus. At that time, I opposed them to glam rock. I nowadays realise how much they were of the same line. As today I like Placebo. Would the liking of those music have something to do with the one of Space ??? That's the question, gay and ungay folks, along with : what are yours musical favorite ? Otis |

WHY did you choose this forum??? About the music, I am for the pop and rock bands of the 6-70s, like Beatles, Who, etc. Bye, Dada Baggins |

why did I choose this forum ???? Because the Ziggy character was very much about bisexuallity. Because the film Velvet Goldmine, which I think is a good film, is very much about it. Because all the people I'm refering to, Jones, Osterberg, Curtis, Murphy, Bollan, Vega, Molko etc.... and, to me, the Space show, go around a feeling of sensitivity, and even dismay, that are not supposed to belong to the real straight guys who always hide their problems. Now I realise there is here some cultural gap. I'm assuming, maybe wrongly, that my description of the straight guy apply to the anglo-saxon world. World I'm somehow addressing to when I start writing on such a forum. I mean Space. As a belgian, I'm myself already more of a sensitive declared guy. Maybe halfway between England and Italy. Because gay people are more on fashion and music ???? Maybe because I want to say hello ! to them too, and though I found a cool matter of talking ? Anyway, dear Dada, thank you for answering, and more details whenever you feel like it. |

Thanks to YOU, Otis, for your clear and open explaination Like I said in many other cases, you are totally right again. I hope I didn't offend you or any other person on this forum or in the Net in any way. Now I know I was wrong when I posted that question. I've changed my mind, folks.... Bye, Dada Baggins |

The character design of the Kaldorians in "Earthbound" was clearly inspired by the glam rock movement of the early '70's, as were quite a few other aliens encountered between Year One and Year Two. |
