SPACE:1999 remake.

As a side note- over at the Space:1999 Fan Fiction Archives they have a story called Collision of Realities in which the Borg mercifully destroy the Battlestar Galactica once and for all. Check it out! Cheery Bye! |

Speaking of silly S99 stories, there are some really clever MST3000 type parodies in there that are really gut busting....check them out!  |

Yes, I would like to see a new series but it would have to emphasize high production values such as: - Good writing - Well written characters - Decent special effects - Well-trained actors - Elaborate sets In an ideal world, the first season would have 12 high-quality episodes starting in January with the verdict to continue to be made by May. It would also be a syndicated series rather than be tweaked by executives of a network. Also, like the original series, produce it in England. |

Why not they are remaking everything else aren't they????? Just a few points to share. First and foremost keep those Hollywood idiots away from production The remake should be made by the Brits, it was there idea to start with. As for cast, John Koenig should be played by a well known actor, to get it started. All the rest could be unknowns they have to start somewhere. Make a movie first, see how that goes, then move into a series IF there is good feedback no need to flog a dead horse. Not too much action, more story around the characters and their interactions, REAL people and there problems. More about life on Moonbase Alpha. Aliens why not !!!!! But some have to be good Aliens, not all are hostile, surely???? More believeable Science!!!! Good props, smart uniforms sexy BUT functional, lots of variety. It wouldn't hurt to bring some of the old cast in as guest stars, that would keep the old fans happy. IF the remake didn't work?!?!? Well WE still have season I & II on DVD/video and the remake would give us new topics "WHERE THEY WENT WRONG" to discuss, wouldn't it????? So what do you think, input always good.   |
