Good morning everybody! It's 4:30 pm in Paris.

I've just read Cindy's lattest message : her favorite episode is "A Journey to Nowhere".
I'd like to know why. Personnaly, i think the vision of Earth in 2120 AD spoils the hope.
Now, the Alphans know they shall not return before that date. Moreover, the pollution has destroyed nature and earthlings live inside igloos exactly like Alphas on their Moonbase! Would you dream to live on such a blue planet? huh.gif

Then, I prefer "Another time Another place" which is very eerie and frightening.
When i was a child, I still dreamed on facing my double. Imagine the scoop : F-9000 meets F-9000'! rolleyes.gif In Johnny Byrne's story, we never know where this parrallel earth come from (other dimension? future? collective dream?). The set is charming and Regina's nightmare enhances the plot! However, I think the story would be better if Moonvictor met Earthvictor instead of the two Helenas.

IN FIRST: In "journey to nowhere" we can see destroyed planet and I think it's an warning.

IN SECOND: my favorite character is Helena and in this episode she's very present.

IN THIRD: I like the answer of Yasko who prefers stay on moonbase.

Dear Cindy,

I've always thought Space 1999's main charm was the absence of real Earth.

When I first discovered "A Journey to nowhere" in 1989, I was disturbed by the fact the Earthlings had survived. In "Breakaway", the journalist says the Alphans may have died in nuclear explosions.
So, how does Dr Logan know they're still alive and where? In which galaxy did he cast the waves to contact Alpha?

1)Did you notice neither Earthlings nor Alphans speak of Simmonds'arrival of Kaldorians in 2074?
The episode ends unless we know if Zantor was right. In fact, the screenplayers did not have the authorization to mention a Year One character in Year Two stories so they rather elude the clue.
What's your opinion about it?

2) There's another mistake : if it's december 31st, trees must have left their leaves because it's winter. On the opposite, trees are greenish. Why? Then, in those days, the New year began on Marsh 1st.

I like Journey because it's very dark, hope is raised only to be dashed, very rare in season two and very needed.

She has not posted here in a long time. There's a few other tenured members that have mysteriously disappeared. As if they stumbled into their very own Black Sun...
