I like the Space style of the first season (my favourite film is 2001). Its true that UFO action is in a moonbase? |
| Dada Baggins 12 May 2004 16:34:20 |
Are you talking about the UFO serie? Well, if yes, it's for a half true. UFO scenes are in part on Moon Base (it's called in this way, in the episodes), in part in the Shado Headquarters. Shado is the name of the organization that protects the Earth from UFO attacks. The acronym means: Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization. The coordinator of Shado movements is Commander Ed Straker (played by Ed Bishop). His 'Number One' is Colonel Alec Freeman. The personnel of Moon Base is: liutenent Nina Barry, liutenent Gay Ellis. Other important characters in the serie are Colonel Paul Foster (played by Mike Billington), Colonel Virginia Lake, general James Henderson, doctor Doug Jackson. Hope this helps, and sorry for my bad English. Dada Baggins |

In 2026, the "Thunderbirds" are ultra-sophisticated spacecrafts controlled by the members of International Safety. Directed by Jeff Tracy, its five sons with the assistance of Pnlope Lady intervene as a last resort to come to assistance of the men at the time of catastrophes of great widths. The "Thunderbirds" is a serie of puppets' animation. Even if the wires are slightly visible with the screen, the perfection of the effects remains, more than thirty years afterwards, always also seizing. It is forgotten quickly that one does not have business with beings of flesh and blood to concentrate on the vibrating adventures of our small so courageous men. The models are they also very beautiful for the time as well as the decorations. The series (which are the work of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, already writers of Space: 1999) is not reserved for a young public and everyone will find its account in these fantastic adventures. Sorry again. I found a French site. I don't know French, and I tried to traduce you this little piece of information. I hope this is enough. Bye, Dada Baggins P.S.= This conversation isn't boring! |
