The Space:1999 Fan Fiction Archive

Has anyone else been there?

Validus 31 Jan 2003 09:27:46	I've really been enjoying the fan fiction archive and just wondered if anyone else has.....? I especially liked the story Collision of Realities which is a massive crossover featuring not only Space:1999, but Star Trek-The Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica (mercifully the Borg destroy them and that rotten cast once and for all), Lost in Space, Star Wars, Dr Who and a couple of others. It's well worth reading- check it out.

I am very discriminating, looking for S99 stories written in the epic year 1 style. It is extremely difficult to do. Admittedly, I have not read them all (who has the time) but I've read probably 90% of them. For serious stuff, there are two very,very good ones I'd recommend reading. The first is "Breakaway Part II" by Matt Butts. Breakaway really should have been a two parter and I have to say he does an excellent job of the conclusion. I can just picture the episode play out in my mind as if we are watching the show. Very well done...check it out. The second is a short story called "Sacrifices" and I don't remember the author (I apologize for not being able to give kudos)... It basically tells a version of how Paul died. This one left a tear in my eye, and NOT from reading bad fan fiction. It was excellent. Check it out..
