The UFO Space: 1999 documentary DVD is now out. If you haven't got the Italian UFO and Space: 1999 DVDs, you can get to see Roberto Baldassari's fantastic menus, reused on this DVD. Looks fantastic Martin. I remember seeing the Space 1899 spoof at Main Mission 2000. Memory fuzzy but I think I LMAO during it! I was at a comic book/media convention in NYC today and a dealer was selling DVD bootlegs of the old version documentaries for $20 each. They also had The Day After Tomorrow for sale for $20. Also met Joe Staton at the convention (Artist on the Charlton Space 1999 comics). I'll mail you a jpeg of him at the catacombs address tonight. He remembered the show fondly and said they ought to bring it back! |

Oh Cool! Thats part of the stuff I've been meaning to send you for a year and have 1/2 typed up. Do you have the rest of the issue because they talk quite a bit about the Space 1999 comics in that one. I had to wait quite a while for Joe, he was very popular at the convention. My daughter was with me (We met the voice of Jimmy Neutron Debi Derryberry and Cindy Morgan from TRON) and by then she was beat and didn't want to wait on line. Joe was doing sketches and signing E-MAN comics. A fan in front of me had him sign the artwork for one of the Charlton text stories in the Space comics, I believe it was the picture in issue # 6. Nice guy. Thanks for putting up the pictures Martin. I enjoyd the Big Apple show, I might consider making it a regular stop. |
