Hi all, I just wanted to take up again the discussion I posted a year ago. In the episode "Timelash", when Straker and Lake go to the Studios, they leave the car in front of them. And after, when they come out, the car is evanished....!!!!!   What happened, by your opinion? Bye, Dada Baggins |

The verb : "to SIM" I SIM, you SIM, he SIMs ::Ahem:: SIM is for SIMulate. There are many sites on the Net where you can find a nice game, called Simulation. It can be about any serie or film: you simply act as a character, already existing or invented, concerning that serie. I like to SIM and many like doing it as I do.What character would you like to play in S:1999? I would play... oh, well, someone in science. Hmmm... SimCity? Maybe. Than you would choose Commander Koenig? Well, if you look in this forum, in the LINKS section there is a topic "Any RPG PBEm there?", that is about the SIMulations (also called Role Playing Games Played By Email). I tell you... This weekend I saw The Forbiden Planet. Its a classic of science fiction... you know it...I am sure... I notice some unusual singularities betwen that movie and Star Trek... Did you know that movie was the inspiration for Star Trek??? |

In some aspects it is a interesting movie Its about a space craft (like an UFO ) that belongs to The United Planets (or someting like that like in Star Trek, you know). They are going to a planet with a human colonie which is in silence  (they are not sending messages) They land on the planet and they meet a cientist, her daughter and a robot. (Notice that this movie is old and the robot is large but i love old sci-fi) Then, the man tells them that his colonie died. After some adventures they discover that the man knows tat the planet was the home of ancient aliens that died and the beast who kild the colonie was a "projection" of the mind of the man. Its a bit complicated (when I am explaning) In the movie they call the commander of the craft: skiper |

Great news UFO is on DVD here in Portugal! I think this serie was never transmited in our TV chanels! I will buy it! |
