I just recently bought Volume 1 of The Outer Limits on DVD and was very pleasently surprised that Martin Landau was in Episode 6- "The Man Who Was Never Born". Essentially the plot involves a man going back in time to prevent a disaster that will destroy the human race. I have to wonder how much of that plot was borrowed by James Cameron for the Terminator films. Anyway Martin Landau's acting was very good and also very different here from his later work on S1999. His character seemed far more urgent and also deeply wounded from living a life so hellish amd miserable in the post-holocost Earth of the future. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever seen it?

If anyone is interested the first volume of the original Outer Limits is avalable at Half.com for far less then the current $69.99 price at Best Buy and I highly recommend it. It contains 32 episodes on 4 discs.

I remember that episode. Martin Landau also starred in Mission: Impossible as Roland Hand. Tom Cruise was Ethan Hunt modeled after the character originated by Landau.

It's a good Outer Limits episode, but it's hurt by the insane choice of Landau's character to pass himself off as a professor from England. Landau can NOT affect a decent Brit accent to save his life.
