2001 begins in 1999!

F-9000 18 Feb 2003 19:50:38	Did you watch the timing? I'm sure the musical sequence over the moon begins in 1999. Why? It's 18 months later when we see the discovery! Then, I remember a woman speaking of June in the space orbital station. F-9000
Validus 19 Feb 2003 00:08:25	That is correct........the film 2001 does actually begin in the year 1999. I'd never made that connection before. Just to be certain I popped in my copy of 2010: The Year We Make Contact and found that those dates are confirmed in the opening preface to the film. "My God............it's full of stars........"
