Subject: Space1999: rules of luton

did anybody notice that in the season 2 episode "the rules of luton"
that when john and maya are crossing the lake on the planet that when
they get out of the water they are dry. there hair and close are not
wet.there as dry as before they went in the water.woes of season 2
another thing i noticed is in the episode "seeds of destruction"
that when the fake john switched jacket with the original because the
fake john had an opposite jacket.he put the odd jacket on the real
john with the patches on the oppisite side of the jacket. so now john
the real one has the oppisite jacket. in one of the scenes in the
astaroid cave where john was. he was wearing the wrong jacket he was
supposed to wear the oppisite jacket because of the switch.but he was
wearing the one the fake john took from the real john.woes of season
2. so is the season 2 theme song porno also?
thank you

Ah, Into Infinity was fun. How many Stellar acidents dould they cram in 60
minutes! Including the Black Hole! The Photon drive going off line right
before a star went nova! Good stuff. And it was fun to watch BRian Blessed
run around the ship and grit his teeth.

But since they became stranded at the end of the story (ANd this was a pilot
episode I guess) how wouold they all pair up. I think about this stuff you
know.

I mean there was one married couple with a son and daughter and I think
Brian Blessed was the womans brother.

Not much opportunities for dating eh. Same problem in Lost in Space.
Unless Don marries Judy then Judy gets eaten by a Irwin allen plant monster
and Don marries Penny (Once shes of legal age) and she gets taken away by
those guys from the 5th dimension and then Don and ...eh never mind. (And
to think I forgot about Dr Smith)

Well the Altair could always run into moonbase alpha (Theres a fanzine story
for you)

Hi.

Wondering if anyone's thought of making CD's out of the Year 1
Soundtrack. If the idea's come up before, or the CD's available
already, please disregard this message. If not, please read on.

I have access to the appropriate equipment, but my copy of the record is
not of suitable quality. I have heard such transfers before, and they
can be of extremely high quality if they're done from a really high-end
turntable.

If we had enough interest, and a mint condition copy of the record, I
believe that these CDs could be produced for under $30 each (I'm
deliberately vague about the projected cost, since it will depend partly
on the number of interested persons).

This service would be for List members ONLY.

Actually, this fanzine story exists. It's in a book of crossover stories
w/ 1999 or Mission Impossible and other TV shows, if you're interested,
Terry Bowers edited it, and I happen to have some left over copies she
recently sent me for a zine con we recently had in Florida. Terry's not
on the list right now, If you're interested in a copy, let me know.

The LIS/1999 story was pretty good, and not too much of a stretch to
incorporate both since we know that the 1999 universe launched a number of
missions, the Robinson's ship happened to be one of them. The cryogenic
sleep turned out not to be as safe as Smith had said and there were people
on Earth who wanted to prosecute him. Helena and Dr Robinson were old
friends from before he met Maureen.

BTW Phil, I think you got the ship name wrong. The Robinsons were
aboard the Jupiter II. I think the Altair was from _Forbidden Planet_
wasn't it?

Hey Robert! It's spring here too! The orange trees are absolutely white
with blossoms and the aroma is wonderful. Who needs nature? I do, I do!

No the Altair was the ship in the special The Day After Tomorrow, the post I
replied to. At least I think it was called the Altair.
I was thinking of someone writing a zine story featuring recovering the ship
from the day after tomorrow on Moonbase alpha. It would have to be an
alternate universe story since at the time of Breakaway humans didn't have
FTL spaceships. And the moon is there in The Day after Tomorrow!
I know the LIS ship is Jupiter II.
And the original name was Gemini 6 maybe? It was different in the unaired
pilot.

Oh and Ellen the zine sounds good email me privatly with how much it is!

The 44" Eagle is the largest ORIGINAL Eagle from the series. There
were four sizes: 5.5", 11", 22", and 44" (actually 43.25").

Dear Robert and all,
It so nice to here that it's nice out somewhere. Here in New York,
the weather goes from snow (yesterday ) to unseasonably warm.
On to something completely different
Way to often usic that is under copyright and. or ASCAP(in the US)
protection is used without authorization. A famous example of this is
music from the movie 2001. The composer (Liggetti,, I believe, &
forgive my spelling) was never informed, creditted or compensated. I
might have the story wrong but I beleive Ligetti lived behind the then
Iron curtain and someone figured he'd never know his music had been
illegally used.Anyway, eventually it did become public and he was
compensated.
By the way David, how did you do your research on this one
anyway,huh???
Later,
Ina

Hmmmm...while trying not to deviate from the topic of Space:1999 too much,
are you telling me someone actually makes music for those types of films?
And people actually LISTEN to the music? I really don't want to get into a
discussion about the films, it just struck me as something very funny to read
about after a long, long, long, long, (and miserable) day at work. One of my
favorite TV show's music in a porn film.....jeez, what's this world coming

Made my day, thanks.

To all:

I'm sorry.

I'm 41. I think I'm the oldest one on this list (not counting lurkers).
I'm old enough to know better. But I didn't.

Most times when a hot topic comes up, and emotions are flared, I hang back.
Mostly I pray (I'm a pastor; it's what I do). When I should have prayed
and kept my mouth (keyboard..?) silent, or debated the issue via private
email, I chose not to. I justified it. I screwed up.

Pete, I apologize to you especially. I don't agree with your reasonings,
nor some of your opinions, but that's not the point. I reacted to then by
striking back in anger, defending this list like the Ewings protected the
family when they weren't trying to stab each other in the back.

(And stop calling me Gregg....) <grin>

Robert, you are a good friend. And maybe you've been reading Matthew 5:9.
Thanks for the reality check. Marshall, thanks for the backstage reminder.

Now I'll return to my tent. Door's still always open, if anyone wants to
talk. And I think I'll put on my CD of Strauss. Later....

Hi Ellen!

I'm very interested! Do you think any of the 1999 story authors would be
willing to have their stories HTMLized for the Cyber Museum? Fan fiction is
definitely the most popular item there!

BTW, thanks again for my 1999 tapes!! I love them even though I haven't

Hi, all sections Alpha

Last Robert's message cheered me up a lot (although there is a
strange milky fog today here).
Let's admit guys... we got too serious lately, too highly-strung, maybe
too digital
(and yet I'm a fanatic in that). I'm going to have a break - the famous
"deep breath".
I just wanted to say that I personally think the list, and extensively
the net,
should be, if possible, a means to know each other better, pros and cons
included,
rather than the end itself. Please smile, laugh, tease each other and
explain frankly
your point... and about the excesses let them drop by themselves. I knew
so many
fine people through this list that is a pain to see how they, little by
little are getting
involved in nonsense quarrels here and there. (let me put a smiley here
=)) oh! much
better now!.

I listened again a good record of the past, its lyric is still relevant:

it takes love over gold
and mind over matter
to do what you do that you must
when the things that you hold
can fall and be shattered
or run through your fingers like ...dust

Bye

See, I told you Mark was a lovely guy. I'm telling you, something
cosmic is going on (or Dudley's picked up a book on witchcraft and
is casting spells on the list). It's weird. I see people writing
things and I just go "Whoa!" because I know these people and yet I am
blown away by the stuff coming across the list sometimes lately.
It's like pod people have taken over or something.

Glad we're back on track here. Welcome back Mark.

A clarifier. This particular track never appeared in Space: 1999.
It was thrown onto the RCA Space: 1999 album as filler, and
apparently was sold for other uses later.

The list has gotten very unfriendly lately, I will not post anymore, but I do
read each E-mail and watch people get scorned for errors and
differences of opinion, but this will blow over, keep the faith!!!! Gary

Subject: Space1999: List Sweatshirts

Hi all,

I was suppose to post this info much earlier, but was unable to obtail
some hard numbers from my supplier. The ones I'm posting now, may not be the
final actualy prices. I'm still waiting for some "official" numbers. But
here goes...

Sweatshirt Retail
Size	Canada	US
6-8	$24.00 $17.59
10-12	$24.00 $17.59
14-16	$24.00 $17.59
S	$30.00 $21.99
M	$30.00 $21.99
L	$30.00 $21.99
XL	$30.00 $21.99
2XL	$32.50 $23.82
3XL	$35.00 $25.65

Shipping is the same as a T-Shirt.

Don't send money. I mean, yeah, send me money, but not for a Sweat just
yet. These numbers will mostlikely be changing shortly.

And yes, they will have the NEW list address on them!!

Later...

P.S. - Anybody interested in sweatpants, shorts, or tanks???

I called this number and I was connected with a perky little operator
named Cindy. I told her I was trying to find out any information about
model kit re-issues from Space: 1999. Her response was a bubbly, "I
don't have any information on that sir." So who knows. The disembodied
voice that answers the phone and asks you to stay on the line provides
the following snail-mail address:

	The Ertl Company
	Attn Consumer Service
	PO Box 500
	Dyersville, IA 52040-0500

She may very well not have any information. I work in a call center and
sometimes the level of training that operators receive is frightfully
low. At their 800 number they may just be concerned with routine
information matters and not a specialized question like mine.

I meant to say here that Barbara Bain's acting was hardly wooden.
