I have made a HUGE mistake!

Somehow I have mailed a copy of a mail I sent concerning Nichelle

Thanks!

Subject: Space1999: Vague Memories From the Dead Zone

I have two faint memories from 2 different episodes of Space: 1999. I
would appreciate it if anyone out there could confirm these.

1) From Year 1: A scene where Dr Mathias is standing over a patient
having some kind of convulsion. I thought it was from "Testament of
Arkadia" right before he calls up Main Mission to tell Paul he's freezing
his ass off in the medical center and needs more heat. However, after
viewing this episode I didn't see the scene. What episode is it from (if
it exists)?

2) From Year 2: An Eagle has crashed and Maya transforms herself into
herself as a small child. Situation context and episode, please.

Help me out here, folks! I need to know if these scenes really existed
(especially #1) or if they are just "the product of a sick mind" as
Commisioner Dixon would say.

FORCE OF LIFE, when Koenig ask Morrow to shut down all the power on

THE SEANCE SPECTRE, The Eagle didn't crash, it was already on the lunar

Subject: Space1999: OT:Battlestar Gal. Models

Hi all,

Just got my BG Viper and Raider. These are the same basic molds used in
the original issue, with a few minor changes:
-They both come with more authentic decals (red stripes for the
bottom, etc)
-Neither come with those stupid plastic darts (the vipers came out of
its nose cone, the raider's from its engine intakes). Unfortunately,
the manuf. didn't see fit to close the holes where these darts useed to
fit, and so both models have these out-of place holes.
-The viper's lower two wings used to be completely different pieces
from the engine assembly, as I remember it. This time, they're molede
onto it already, making sure that the incompetent modeler gets them on
there at the correct angle.

Anyway, both are pretty groovy, for a time warp experience.

Cheers,

Gentle Mike

Hi Mike, all,

Sorry for the delay, been WAY too busy for my own good. Anyway... As to
your question Mike, I have a 44" Eagle in the works as a kit. Not one-offs
for extremely high prices. But a kit that you can afford. Well, most could
afford. As a 44" Eagle will have some substance to it, it will not be cheap
(in price OR quality). Along with the 44", there is also plans for a 22",
12" (re-do of the Airfix kit), 8 3/4" (re-do of the Dinky toy), and a few
other scales to match other Sci-Fi kits available. You know, a 33" Eagle
ain't a bad idea either, 1/32 scale...ummmm.....
No prices yet, that is determined by the production costs, market
pressure, greed :-), and so on. SO, it will be a little while yet for
prices. But, a quick, off the cuff, not in stone, may change at any time
with out notice, a rough guess...

     43.25" $600.00 CDN
     32.44" $350.00 CDN
     21.63" $150.00 CDN
     12.00" $ 40.00 CDN
      8.75" $ 20.00 CDN

Subject: Space1999: Hollywood Star for Barbara Bain

Dear Fans,

As some of you may know, Barbara Bain International - the officially
sanctioned Barbara Bain fan organization - has been raising funds in order to
subsidize the cost of a Star for Barbara on the famous "Hollywood Walk of
Fame."

Terry S. Bowers, President of BBI, has just received notification from the
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce that the fee for the Star has increased by an
additional $2,500.00 since we last applied for consideration of Barbara's
Star. The club has already raised in excess of $5,000.00 for this project
and we can't give up now! In response to this new challenge, we are
announcing a special fundraiser to raise the additional needed funds. These
funds must be raised within the next two months. For your donation to this
cause you will receive the following:

1. $25.00 or more donation: Specially prepared, professionally printed
"Barbara Bain Card" with her photograph and printed comments. These are the
same size and style of popular collectible sports cards.

2. $50.00 or more donation: The aforementioned collectible "Barbara Bain
Card" and an autographed photograph.

3. $75.00 or more donation: The aforementioned "Barbara Bain Card",
autographed photograph, a mystery item from the "Bowers Archive" and
entry into the special BBI Raffle.

Raffle Items:

- - Original "Alpha Files" art by Judy Moore, matted and framed, along with a
copy of the Alpha Files" fanzine.

- - Helena Russell doll

- - Set of Italian "Mission:Impossible vs. The Mob" Lobby Cards with complete
set of four Mission:Impossible paperback novels

(additional items to be added upon confirmation)

We feel that it is important for Barbara Bain to be considered for her Star
on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year, in honor of the 30th Anniversary of
her work on Mission:Impossible (where she won three consecutive Emmy Awards)
and in light of the rave reviews for her work in the current Los Angeles
stage hit "The Chairs," among other credits. Please give this fundraiser
your utmost consideration and feel free to email either Terry S. Bowers
directly at: Susan.M.Bowers@uwrf.edu, or Tony Wynn at StarParty@aol.com,
if you need more information.

Direct contributions to the fund may be made directly to:

Terry S. Bowers, President
Barbara Bain International
603 N. Clark Street
River Falls, WI 54022
USA

We ask that you please pledge whatever amount you are able to so that the
dream of seeing Barbara Bain's Star permanently enshrined in Hollywood's Walk
of Fame may finally be fulfilled! Your donations must reach Terry no later
than Saturday, May 10, 1997.

Thank you for your consideration -

Sincerely,

Terry S. Bowers

Subject: Space1999: Dinky Eagles

I have one of the Dinky toys you're talking about. The nuclear waste
cargo Eagle looked nothing like the cargo Eagle seen in "Breakaway." The
Dinky Eagle has a revolving wheel in which you snap each cannister. It
holds a total of 4 cannisters. There is a little winch with a mangnet on
it you can use to raise and lower the cannisters. The Dinky I have is
all white so I don't know if they made two versions. I know that the
Dinky Eagle Transporter was a funky green color.

It could have been the standard eagle and not the nuke transporter
that was green. I kind of like the green eagle, despite it's
"unofficial" colour. It's been more than 10 years since I've seen either.
To tell the truth I haven't participated in much SF fandom at all in
the past 10 years except a brief flirtation with DWIN and looking up
some DW/1999 stuff on the net recently.
If you read this tagline then you must be
incredibly bored!

Subject: Space1999: letter campaign?

With Daivd's posting of the address for AMT/ERTL it has come to my
attention that perhaps we should all get involved in a letter writing
campaign to get Space items re-issued. The turn of the millenium will only
happen once and what a way for a company to get on the band-wagon than to
get behind the re-release of Space merchandise.
There has been little to unite us as a group, except our love for this
show, and we need to let companies know that there is a viable market for
this merchandise.
Who can we contact? Model companies for one; as the Eagle and the
MOonbase were the clear symbols for the series. While the dolls may not be
re-issued, how about the trading cards?...soundtrack?...novels?...die-casts?
This is something that we can undertake via the internet if we can come
up with the appropriate addresses. WE represent only a small fraction of
the people out there who remember and appreciate this series; everywhere I
go and enquire about the series,I get the smae response: Oh, yeah. I
remember that show! It was one of my favourites....
How about it? For a company to cash in the on the 'fad', they would have
to start in early 1998! We do not have a lot of time.

....won't work? If there have been over 12 000 hits as the Cybermuseum,
what if each of those 'hits' purchased a model kit? How many are there out
there who do not have access to computer but would still purchase a kit?

This is only an idea,, but one that we could have a lot of fun with.
All we need are the addresses.

RE: Universal Annual Internet Cleaning

                     * * * A T T E N T I O N * * *

 It's that time again!

As many of you know, each year the Internet must be shut down for 24
hours in order to allow us to clean it. The cleaning process, which
eliminates dead email and inactive ftp, www and gopher sites, allows
for a better-working and faster Internet.

This year, the cleaning process will take place from 12:01 a.m. GMT
 on April 1 until 11:59 p.m. GMT, April 1. During that 24-hour
period, five powerful Internet-crawling robots situated around the
world will search the Internet and delete any data that they find.

In order to protect your valuable data from deletion we ask that you
 do the following:

 1. Disconnect all terminals and local area networks from their
     Internet connections.

 2. Shut down all Internet servers, or disconnect them from the
Internet. DP managers may take the day off.

 3. Disconnect all disks and hardrives from any connections to the
Internet, and use protection on your floppy.

 4.  Refrain from connecting any computer to the Internet in any way;
     don't even think about it.

 5. If you inadvertently connect to the Internet during the above
times, run DESANITIZE.EXE immediately. Count all your files to
     be sure none are missing.

We understand the inconvenience that this may cause some Internet
users, and we apologize. However, we are certain that any
inconveniences will be more than made up for by the increased speed
and efficiency of the Internet, once it has been cleared of
 electronic flotsam and jetsam.

We thank you for your cooperation.

If you need a copy of DESANITIZE.EXE, go to www.Ifell4it.duh

Hi all,

Does anybody know how the "high g-force" special effects were done on
the actors' faces in "The Metamorph"? Wierd, and painful looking.

Pat.

I believe the "high g-force" effect is done with pressurized air. =
Nozzles are directed at the
actors face, giving the indented look on the cheeks. You should notice =
the hair plastered back as
well. Try it yourself sometime, stand up in a convertible facing forward=
at 65 MPH. Watch out for
the bugs though.

I think the best effect of this type I've ever seen is Roger Moore (Bond,=
 James Bond) in Moonraker,
when he's in the centrifuge going 'round, 'round, 'round.
