Really, eh? Just like in The Space: 1999 drinking game: - Another Eagle
is utterly obliterated. Two drinks if the Pilot is Alan Carter. Three
drinks if it's Eagle one.

Interesting, I guess it also shows you the difference you can get with
directing choices. (or is it Freddies choices). Maybe it was that feathered
hair and blush they hit those Y2 girls with. Just because these people
weren't given any lines doesn't mean that they can't act like they
understand what is happening around them.

Thanks for the info Tom.
By the way do you know the Asian actress in Y1? She always had her hair
pulled back in a style slightly like a "Gibson girl" hair-doo. At the end of
Breakaway I think she looks at Sandra as the Meta signals are coming in.
It's too bad they didn't use her for Yasko, her face was much more
expressive.

Brian:

No, I do not know the name of the Asian actress from year one. She wass
used quite a bit throughout much of the first season, but I have never seen
her name anywhere. There were also a lot of Italian extras due to the RAI
investment. I know that the names of all these various actors appear on the
many call sheets, which presumably are in the files for the show. Also,
there would be records kept elsewhere in England as to who was used during
the series. I would bet that Carlton has all of this info and much more.

Yes I think she's quite pretty too.
She was also featured as one of the robots in "One Moment of

The scene with Apollo, Zack and Starbuck: You're absolutely right. Just
after Zack shouts with excitement at being allowed to fly with Apollo on
patrol, he runs off. Apollo and Starbuck share a laugh and Apollo asks
"Were we ever like that?" Starbuck says that maybe he should go along...
just in case. Apollo insists they'll be fine. It's not like they're at war
anymore, right?

Lots of other scenes were deleted in the interests of saving time for the
all-important commercials. Sad, but true. All of the episodes after that
suffered similarly.

I am a Space: 1999 subscriber and am still receiving tapes. I just received
my fourth one. If they had lost the rights to sell them, I wouldn't still
be getting them... would I? I often wonder why when Columbia House sells
ALL of the Star Trek series (read: ALL of the episodes from each series) why
they only sell less than half of the total episodes of Space: 1999.

Well, at least I have "The Guardian of Piri" from J2. *sigh* Too bad that
the other one I have from J2 is "Voyager's Return." Funny... it didn't look
ANYTHING like a Starfleet vessel. ;-)

Hi all,

Watching Twilight Zone on Sci-Fi channel a few weeks ago, I saw our brave
commander playing a gun-slinger with a bad attitude. Was that the first
season episode that he was in?

Oh yes, I watched the classic sci-fi film THINGS TO COME (1936), the other
day and noticed in the opening credits a Charles Chrichton (sp?) as a film
editer. I wonder if this the same fellow who did such great directing in
1999? By the way, the film is pretty good if one bears in mind when it was
made. Ralph Richardson steals the show, with a brilliant performance.

Yes, this is really outrageous. I think that it is about time that they
got another flood of mail on this. In fact, I think that its about time
that I sent them another email.

Sorry....! Heard all the problems trying to get them off the web and
thought they might have discontinued the tapes since Carlton now owns it

Hi Nick, everyone,

> I think I'm going to leave it that way!

I don't know which episode you saw, but as far as I'm
concerned, there was only one watchable ep in
Galactica 1980 (the original series wasn't that good
either...): it's called "Return of Starbuck" (I'm not
sure, but I think it was the final episode of the
season).
It may not be brilliant, but it sure beats all the
others.
If you enjoyed the original BSG, I think you'll like
this one too. It's a nice, character driven story
about Starbuck and a Cylon Centurion, both stranded on
a desert planet, and the relationship they develop.
It's been a long time since I saw it, but I remember I
liked it back then :-)
If you do watch it, let me know what you think...

Cheers,

Paulo
