Nuclear Disposal Area B7

Nuclear Disposal Area B7 is an early experimental nuclear waste dump. It is seen in The Seance Spectre, and is exploded to alter the Moon's trajectory. It is accessible from Moonbase Alpha by moonbuggy- which must mean only a few kilometers away (hence the zero survival rate when they are detonated).

An aerial overview: several widely spaced silo caps are seen.	An aerial overview: these are two waste monitoring depots identical to those in NDA2.	The cap includes a wide plinth with a cylindrical cap and girderwork structure (which may have been used originally to lower the nuclear waste into the deep silos).
A closer look at cap 5. The plinth is not as wide, but otherwise the model and full sized set are pretty close.	Detail of the synthocrete cover, here being rigged to be blown open.	The cover being blown open. Note the DANGER RADIATION illuminated signs on the perimeter, and the yellow equipment bin alongside (the latter was also present in NDA2).
A very clear view of the two silos, 5 and 6. The two handles on the buttresses of the silos also appear on NDA2 waste caps.	In this view you can see the studio roof... A good side view of a danger sign.	Silo 6 beyond does not have a girderwork structure over the cap.
When the cover is open, a deep vertical silo is revealed.	Despite the radiation symbols and danger signs the main risk is actually falling...	The start of the final detonation. Note again the radiation signs around.
