Production GuideThe This Episode sequences in the Year One Titles are an exciting montage of visual highlights. Occasionally alternate takes and cut scenes were included, providing a brief glimpse of what the episodes could have been. Breakaway and Matter Of Life And Death have a high proportion of shots different to the finished episode.
Koenig finds Alan in the Eagle cockpit. In the episode we first see him holding his commlock as he talks to Paul.
In the second "This Episode" shot, Sandra knocks over her coffee mug. The shot is not in the episode (probably a blooper), but it was filmed during the scene 28, showing Sandra commenting "No instruments, visibility nil..." when Koenig and Paul's Eagle launches to search for Alan. In the episode, the cup can be seen lying on its side by her left hand. Thanks to Richard Bendell.
