“Collision Course” |
Alpha is on a collision course with a massive planet whose queen insists that Koenig do nothing to stop it. Writer: Anthony Terpiloff Director: Ray Austin Guest Cast Margaret Leighton as Arra |
This is another episode I didn’t really like as a child, but as an adult I have learned to appreciate on levels I couldn’t comprehend then. This episode also utilizes a plot device that would also be used in episodes like “Dragon’s Domain” and “The Bringers of Wonder” — the only person who knows the truth (in this case, Koenig) having to convince everybody else he’s not crazy. But you realize that Arra is truly convincing, and that she knows what she’s talking about. This was the final performance for Margaret Leighton, who succumbed to multiple sclerosis shortly after the episode was filmed. Notice the backdrop behind Arra’s throne as well: that will pop up in future episodes. |
