“New Adam, New Eve”

Magus, a powerful being claiming to be the creator, offers the Alphans a new home in Paradise. But is he for real?

Writer: Terrence Feely

Director: Charles Crichton

Guest Cast

Guy Rolfe as Magus

As a teenager struggling with the concept of God, I found this episode intriguing. It’s not a bad story, especially compared to what has come before it this season. The writer has obviously done his homework, as the character of Simon Magus does indeed appear in the New Testament. There’s also a clever line where Maya explains that her people found the god who created their universe, and discovered that He had a god who had created an even bigger universe. And I loved the line where Koenig calmly explains to Magus that “we’re a little low on sacrificial goats right now.”
