I guess after their skepticism in “Collision Course” and “The Bringers of Wonder” (oops—that one hasn’t happened yet!) the Alphans have decided to blindly trust Koenig, even if he is an evil image creature projected by an alien asteroid while the real commander is trapped in a mirror back on the asteroid. Nobody notices that he’s a mirror image, with his hair parted on the wrong side. (In these days of digital film making I bet they’d use CGI to actually flip the actor!) Maya, being super-smart, figures out that something is fishy, so Not Koenig confines her to quarters with only Tony to believe her. Carter is blindly loyal as always, only this time it’s not the right time to be loyal. Just as Not Koenig is about to destroy Alpha so his people may live, the Real Koenig shows up to save the day. Oops! They forgot to pick up Tony and Maya, they’re still trapped down on the asteroid. Oh, well, I’m sure someone will pick them up in time for next week’s show. |
