ALPHA CHRONICLEArtwork Archives

This is a sampling
of some of the better material that was published in Alpha Chronicle from
1977 to 1979. I have no idea whatever became of any of these artists. I hope
they’re enjoying successful careers now. |

KATHI HIGLEY |
|||
|
Kathi lived in
Connecticut, and we met through a letter of comment ’zine called ComLoC. She
was one of my biggest supporters, not only contributing artwork and writing,
but she wrote a really nice review in ComLoC. Most of these sketches were
used to illustrate the “Moonbase Alpha Profiles” section, where I would
spotlight a character from the show in each issue. |

KEVIN KENT |
|||
|
Kevin lived in
Kent, Washington (purely coincidence) and sent me these drawings and others
by Special Delivery, which really kind of threw me for a loop. Kevin found me
via the Internet a couple of months ago, and it is thanks to him I have the
copies of Alpha Chronicle used to create this website. |

MARY BLOEMKER |
MICHAEL GAINES |
||
|
Mary, who lived in
Boston, also wrote a story called Devil’s Planet Part Two which I published.
I wish I hadn’t edited it so badly, it was too badly damaged to include on
this site. |
Michael Gaines was
just a kid from school who could draw. He was a cartoonist on the school
newspaper, too, and I twisted his arm into drawing an occasional illustration
for A.C. |

ROBERT EDRALIN |
MARK TERRANO |
||
|
I had known Robert
since the eighth grade. He was a pretty decent artist, and one day I got him
to dash off this Koenig because I needed a cover for the issue. |
Mark and I also
went to high school together. He was taking a drafting course, so I talked
him into practicing his skills by drawing me a set of Ultra Probe blueprints. |
