WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLUB ?
The club aimed at gathering SPACE : 1999 fans for them to share their passion for the series and to express freely, especially through our fanzine Aigle (Eagle) (1989-1999), continued from 2000 to 2004 with the title A LA DERIVE (Breakaway).
Indeed, each member of the club was entitled to take part in the fanzine by sending fanstories, articles about episodes, characters, etc... or criticize the series. The collector could share his passion with the others and develop our knowledge about all the collectibles existing.
HOW DID THE CLUB WORK ?
The presidents of the club were Richard Plumel and then Chantal Battiston. When it was reorganized in 2000, several members took charge of the different parts of the fanzine.
