Videos Carlton Video (UK)     On November 12, 2001, in the UK, Carlton Video released the third and final wave of "Space: 1999" on DVD (PAL, Region 2 encoding), re-mastered from 35mm prints. A&E is responsible for a separate US release that began on January 30, 2001 (NTSC, Region 1 encoding), see our coverage here. On April 30, 2001, Carlton Video launched the first wave of "Space: 1999" DVD releases. This included 3 individual volumes (4 episodes per disc) or a boxset container that included the first 3 volumes with space for the additional 3 volumes. This was followed up by the second wave on June 11, 2001, of 3 additional volumes with the remaining 12 episodes of Year One. On September 17, 2001, the boxset was re-released to include all 6 volumes of Year One episodes. On November 12, 2001, Carlton Video completed their release of "Space: 1999" on DVD, by releasing all the Year Two episodes. These are available in 6 individual volumes (4 episodes per disc) or a boxset container that includes all 6 volumes.
