Above is a pictures of the new Gaudi re-designed and re-issued by Heller.  A pure nightmare !  It's even worse than their re-issue of the Selene chair.  They claim that the new version is more elegant !!!!  That's the most ridiculous affirmation I've heard in years !  It looks more like a bad prototype of the 1970 original. And it looks to have a matte finish to it that makes it look even cheaper.  When will they ever learn that matte plastic looks cheap and gives plastic a bad reputation !  Original glossy Artemide plastic looks expensive and of high quality.  It almost doesn't even look like plastic.  But those companies just don't have a clue. If they can't re-issue a classic and be faithful to its original design because they are too lazy, why bother?  Design something totally new instead.  I can't believe that Vico Magistretti approved this. Or worse, re-designed it himself.  You don't re-design perfection.  A great deception !
